Trees and Moons

Moons and trees have associated with each other for a very long time. By the Native Americans, Aztecs, Witches, etc. Trees have magickal qualities and so does each Moon. When a certain tree is planted, uprooted, etc. during the appropriate Moon, or phase of the Moon, powerful things can happen. We should also incorporate trees and Moons into our lives.

ACACIA-In India and Patagonia, it is believed to be inhabited by spirits, and offerings are made in exchange for fertility, healing, and protection against evil. The wood is ritually burned on Buddhist alers and used to prepare the sacrificial fires of the Hindus. ALDER-The pith is easily pushed out of green shoots to make whistles. Several shoots bound together can be trimmed to desired length for producing the note you want. So, in my opinion, the Alder is a musical tree of the Air spirits. According to legend, an alder bleeds, weeps, and begins to speak when it is hewn. Used in folk medicine to treat burns, the itch, rheumatism. APPLE-this was also sacred to the Druids, and it is said if you cut an apple into 3 pieces, then rub the cut side on warts, saying "Out warts, into Apple" then bury the pieces and as the apple decays, as do the warts. apple rep. choice, & useful in love and healing magick. The branch is often used in Faery Wicca. ASH- Druid wands were often made of ash because its grain was so straight. Ash is good for healing, general and solar magick. Put fresh leaves under your pillow to induce psychic dreams. BIRCH-
