Two series of town emblem stamps are
the main origin for this chapter. Both series were designed by M. &
G. Shamir, and could be recognized by the state name in the bottom of the
flag.
The first series was issued between March
24, 1965 and Feb. 8, 1967 and had
the state name on the stamp color background.
The second series was issued between July
9, 1969 and Oct. 18, 1970 and had
the state name on white background.
Some towns had also other stamps that showed
their emblems. Those flags were
mainly to comemorate an anniversary or an
event connected to the town.
