LIFE AND TIME
S K IYER

How fast the time runs,
So fast the man runs,
To fetch his life's pleasures,
His list never ends,
But he never knows,
Faster his time ends!
Less're the pleasures sought,
More the life's fought,
The more's what you get,
That's the life's gift!
Man's free to use it,
For his own comfort!
But who wants pain,
The more sought's gain,
Yet with all pain the gain,
After all's a gain?
Yet fast the man runs,
As fast as time runs,
And the end comes,
When the man cries!
Yet fast man runs,
As the time laughs,
"Man, you'll learn never,
to use the time better!"
So fast man runs,
In the race he forgets,
There's a life to live,
He can never retrieve!
