As you know, Sky opened up for Britney Spears. There were also two other acts opening for her as well. My friend and I sat through the first two anxiously waiting Sky's performance. Finally, it was time for Sky to come on, and EVERYONE was screaming for them. They came on and the first song they played was Push. I have the list of songs somewhere, I'm just too lazy to find them. The performance was SPECTACULAR. They put on a great show. They ended with Some Kinda Wonderful, and told the whole crowd to sing along to the chorus. They both stopped singing and listened to the crowd singing the chorus. EVERYONE knew the words, it was awesome. My friend and I didn't want to stay for Bitch Spears (sorry all you Brit fans out there) and we went and sat by Sky's bus. They didn't come out, and so my friend and I decided that we wanted to go home. We had bought the tickets just for Sky, and didn't want to see Britney. I went inside to phone my dad, and Britney was doing the MOST AWFUL cover of Madonna's 'Material Girl'. I phoned my dad, and when I was done, my friend and I looked at the crowd to see their reaction to Britney. They weren't cheering at all, they were just kinda watching her perform. I'm not just saying this because I don't like her, I'm serious. The applause for Sky was so much louder! Even though I'd spent $30 on the ticket just to see Sky, it was well worth it, and they truly were the stars that night. I think the headliners could take a few pointers from the opening acts.
