Today is Tuesday, the fourth of August in the year of our Lord one thousand, nine hundred and ninety two. I really don't know how many days have passed since school was closed, or how many days are left for holidays. Of all the days gone so far, I have successfully managed to waste ALL of them. And I hate that. Okay, I didn't exactly waste every second of every day. The thought of Mrs. D (A.K.A. Iron Maiden, The Iron Lady, Slayer, Lady Killer, Madam X, Twisted Sister, to name, but a few of her more accepted names) was enough to inculcate that spirit of discipline to study my Zoology. But I really should have put in more work. Though she recommended three hours of study per day, it was with great difficulty that I managed to get in one. Pretty bad, huh? Yeah, I think so too. I'm definitely going to do something about that tomorrow, though I say that every time I think about the previous day. So, you may wonder, what happened to the rest of time? Beats me. Okay, let me try to summarize the day: At the beginning of the holiday, I had resolved to get up at three in the morning and at that time do my three hours of study. I also decided to go to sleep early, at around nine p.m. At first it worked, but when my natural rhythms set in, I started to go to bed around eleven and get up around nine. That really disappointed me, because when I used to get up at three, I used to study for about an hour or two, wait until six, then go on the computer for three hours, until nine o'clock, after which I ate breakfast. Then, my bro (short for brother) goes on and I spend the next few hours doing practically nothing. Just wasting time. Nowadays, I'm planning my days with the Windows Calender. I can plan what I will do every hour for any day of any year, but I usually just plan for a day or two after today. I try to stick to schedule, but I 'most always deviate. Oh mess. I just can't seem to stick to schedule. More lamentation tomorrow. NOTICES, ANNOUNCEMENTS, INFORMATION, DECLARATIONS, ACCOUNTS, ADVERTISEMENTS, COMMENTS, CRITICISMS, REVIEWS, ET CETERA; Camp's coming up and our inside reporter, Vasudev Seeram, will be on location to cover this annual event which takes place on the cliffs of Balandra along the east coast of Trinidad at a Seventh Day Adventist Youth Camp. A week away from the hustle and bustle of every day living (though there is a 'rush hour' at around seven to eight when everyone rushes to the bathroom to bathe). No anxiety, unless you're in the shower when the water goes and the whistle blows. And not a care in the world, unless the roof starts leaking on your bed. Happy Camping! Also, an account of the visit of two of my maternal cousins and two of my paternal will be given. Check Friday's newspaper for this information and the strange case of the 'Mummy Syndrome' that converted my brother into a mummy (dummy). Okay, okay, okay, enough talk about school, Big Diff., and Wasted Time (<-- Skid Row). Let's talk about what is, what was, what could have been, and what should have been (especially the last two). More about that on Thursday's edition. Copyright © 1999, 2000, 2001 by Vasudev N. Seeram. All rights reserved. |
