Deaths of Tupac Shakur and "Notorious" BIG I know this wasn't really 
recent, but I'm not sure exactly how long ago it was.  2Pac Shakur and the "Notorious" BIG were both shot multiple times and their music went on to sell more than when they were alive.  These deaths signified the end of rap music's rule on inner city youth, and the East/West rivalry of rappers.
    I like 2Pac's music .  Unlike most other rappers, he has something to say that pertains to life as we know it.  Most rappers today are just talking about getting guns and killing cops, but Tupac rapped about stuff like his, girlfriend, mother, and the problems that ordinary people face in their everyday lives.
