The Piping of the Mountain troops

                                     Pre-1935
earlpat138.jpg (12954 bytes) The shoulder-boards were without piping and had a pointed shape. In case of a chain-stitched number or letter the stiching was done in the colour of the branch. For ranks above junior NCO the chain-stich was replaced by metal numbers/letters that were silver coloured for senior NCO's and gold coloured for Officers.
