Recall WWI and the conditions in Russia in the late 1800s and early 1900s. Please share some possible causes for the Russian Revolution.
The factory workers and farmers were living with poverty and hunger. The Czar had tried some reforms, but it was not enough to stop the problems. Russia was struggling with so many problems at home that they had to pull out of WWI early, which forced them to give up a lot of land and people. There were conflicting groups that were against the Czar, each stirring up the people for their own ends. The poverty and the new ideas being spread in Europe made it a place ready for a revolt.
