The following "rap prayer" was written and prayed by Taurean Banks of Grace Episcopal
Church, Newark, NJ as part of the parish's Youth Sunday observance after last summer's
EAM work camp at Grace House on the Mountain in St. Paul, Va.

I pray for the rich and I pray for the poor.
I pray for my neighbors that live next door.
I pray for the soldiers that are going to war.
I would like to pray for the world some more.

I pray for the dead and I pray for the living.
My love to the world, that's what I'm giving.
Family and friends to you I give my love.

I'm soon to be at the heavens above.
I been touch by an angel and kiss by God,
I'm standing at heaven's door with my hands on the door knob.

I been touch by an angel and kiss by God,
I'm standing at heaven's door with my hands on the door knob.

I pray for the rich andl pray for the poor.
I pray for my neighbors that live next door.
I pray for the soldiers that are going to war.
I would like to pray for the world some more.
