A
well attended service takes place every Sunday 11 AM in English
followed by a Danish Lunch (smørrebrød). The first Sunday of
each month (October through May) at 4 PM, the church offers
service in Danish followed by Dansk Aften (Danish Eve).
The
Danish church offers Sunday school, aupair-meetings in the parsonage,
instruction in Danish language, beach volleyball, hiking trips,
and Danish dinners with various programs of popular guest speakers,
films, or performer. Danish and Scandinavian traditions such
as Fastelavn, juletræfest and Lucia-optog are also celebrated
at the church.
The
church currently has 365 members. But we do not only serve
our church members. All are welcome for services and cultural
events. The church and the Cultural Center can be rented for
weddings, funerals and receptions. The current pastor is officiating
at funerals and weddings.
If
you will like to receive the church’s Newsletter, please contact
the pastor Jesper Larsen.

Please note there will

Our "Kirkebladet"
send out to more than 800 households is the Danish Lutheran
Church and Cultural Center's main means of communication. Only
members, however, receive written notices of annual, semi-annual
and specially called meetings. If you do not receive these you
are not a member! But maybe you wish to become a member and
have the opportunity to vote at such meetings. All you have
to do is to fill out a membership application (mail
the pastor) and mail it to the pastor. Subsequently the
application is presented to the Church Council for approval.
There are no certain fee or charge involved in being a member.
All income for the Danish Church and Cultural Center is based
on voluntary donations and fundraising events.
