Germany regarded England as it’s main enemy because they were the biggest threat to them. Britain was a great power and were able to wipe out Germany. If I were English I would feel hurt and probably want revenge at some point. The members of the Triple Alliance were Germany, Austria-Hungary, and Italy. The Triple Entente were Russia, France, and Great Britain.

The purpose of Wilson’s fourteen points was to set guidelines for just and lasting peace. The first 5 were for postwar world. Six thru thirteen were specific suggestions about national borders. The fourteenth was forming a League of Nations. Congress was against this because they felt they should stay out of Europe’s affairs.

Some of the problems that angered the people of St. Petersburg were the lack of bread. Before women would just go home, now they were protesting through the streets. People wern’t getting paid and textile and steel workers joined them. The czar ignored the protesters, eventually soldiers wouldn’t fight and trains wouldn’t run.

Rasputin was a Siberian peasant who claimed to be a holy man. He won the confidence of the czar by seemingly saving his son from a blood disease. When asked about the attrocites of the war, many said they didn't know. I don't think it was possible not to know. Of course there will be kids and teens or the oblivious who diddn't know, weren't told, or were oblivious to the fact. But as the masses, I think they deffinetly knew. They just don't want to admit that they didn't do any thing about it. As if they were afraid people would think they were stupid or chicken. They were afraid to admit that they stood by as it happened.

As many people ask me I think the atomic bomb was one of the biggest decisions for the nation and me. I in many ways regreted doing so. Thousands of innocent people, men, women and children, would be killed in this blast. This would destroy a city and many lives. The moral ethics of it were such a factor as well. However it was an important decision. By dropping the bomb we saved many american lives. We as well, stopped the war and saved all the Jews in the death camps.

Europe after world war 2 was in a state of dpression in a way. Most of the countries were broke and in ruins. Many countries had suffered a huge loss of money, lives, and land. Russia went into a state of civil war, kind of. They began to argue for either a democratic or communist government.

I think a way to restructure the U.N. to make it work smoother would be to cancel the veto plan they have. They have to much power and don’t get anything done. They should make it like our government. They all take a vote and if two thirds of the countries vote yes or no then the plan is implemented. This would be much better and one specific country won’t mess with the others. To implement it we keep the current permanent members. Second we create a meeting room where they can all meet so they can cast the popular vote. If it comes out as a tie, or there isn’t exactly two thirds or more it passes to the permanent members and is placed on a majority vote.
