Aker



An ancient Egyptian god in the form of a lion. The Aker was supposed to guard the passage of the god Re on his solar bark.
A lion cult connected to Aker and the worship of lionswas started at To Remu, the modern Tell Migdam. The Greeks called the site Leontopolis in honor of the cult.
Akeru the prural form, were depicted in the toom of Queen Nefertari.
