The Birth of Music When something was born nothing also came to be. When sound was first heard, silence was acknowledged. Sound and silence bore twins in the pool of being and nothing. As music was named, noise arose from this soup of sound and silence. A bowl is both the wood and the emptiness. Music is both the sounds and its silences, but Noise is the silence and its sounds. Who names which set of sound is music and which is noise?


	Music Declare that there is music and someone will deny it. Deny there is music and there is sound with no name. Define it and there is noise called music. Silence the noise and there is music with no name.


Musical Affections To declare the affects of music numbs the sleeping to its power. Music is only in their dreams. Towards each affect we feel, another feels its opposite. Contained within each value we conjure is its opposite. Is this one, this absolute, in fact many? Or are the multitudes diverse?

	Creativity Some say beauty is found. How can one find what cannot be defined? How can one find what is not felt? How can one find all of what the many multiply? To compose new songs we tear down old walls and erect new ones. Yet, we allow the old monuments to stand for others to cling to.> To create is called freedom and this is slavery: We start with emptiness and fill it with our desires. And our desires create our fears. From our actions come the very rules which wall us in. become obstacles to trip over.
