Jennifer and her sister, Brenna, were caught by the Wolf. They had thought him to be ruthless, but Jennifer thought he was actually gentle at times. Royce's brother, Stefan Westmoreland was in charge of Brenna.
They planned to get Lord Merrick to surrender, but it turned out that Jennifer and Royce had to be wedded. While at the castle, Royce "stole" away with Jennifer, and married her at a run-down chapel, before taking her to Claymore. (That seemed to have become a tradition).
Royce gave her his word that he would not attack her family. As time passed, she came to love him deeply. And when she heard that her father was going to attack Claymore, she severed ties with her family. Brenna was also disowned for loving Stefan.
But Jennifer knew that she could find true happiness when she was with Royce. He was willing to give her his kingdom of dreams.
