The Heat Grid of Phobos

What is seen here is a heat grid detected on Phobos by the infra red cameras of the space craft Phobos.

Above is a blowup of the area and below is still another closer

view of the area that is called the grid.

This is not a play of light and shadow but shows up in both the the regular and infra red cameras of the the space craft Phobos as of yet there is still no explanation for this phenomena.

Could this be the heat grid of steam pipes or some other manufactured warmth distribution process below the surface of the this puzzling moon much like the steam pipes below the street of Manhattan?
