All these pages have been written by Vajranatha. I am a member of the Western Buddhist Order. If you would like to know more about our movement, the Friends of the Western Buddhist Order (FWBO), go to our home page in England. I am English myself but I lived in Mérida, Venezuela between 1993 & 1999. I went with a Venezuelan friend, Mañjunatha to help him found a new Buddhist Centre. This is run as a non-profit making association. Although I don’t live in Venezuela at the moment, I still maintain these pages if you want to send an email.In the Spanish part of these pages there is information about the Buddhist Centre, including the programme of events. There are also translations of Buddhist texts and articles about Buddhism.
Visitors to the centre from overseas are welcome. We may be able to offer accommodation in the men's community for those who have previous experience of the FWBO. If you wish to do this, please write in advance.
Every now and then we organise open retreats which have been popular with travellers to Venezuela. Normally we put them on during the vacations of August & Easter. Have at look at some photos of the place where we do our retreats.
