One other thing I forgot to mention in my earlier email:

In all the coverage on the 'shock and awe' bombing campaign in Iraq, I keep hearing commentators emphasize the fact that throughout all this _nighttime_ bombing, the lights in Baghdad have stayed on. The point they make is that the US is not targeting the electrical generators, which would bring extra hardship to Iraqi civilians.

The question I have _yet_ to see asked, is why on earth the Iraqis are leaving the lights on in the first place. I mean how long did it take London during the Blitz, or Berlin later in World War II, or Tokyo during the firebombings to _TURN OFF_ the lights at night when your city is getting bombed? Yet every news shot I see shows Baghdad at 3am lit up like a Christmas tree...

*shakes head* Oh well...what do I know? :)
