We live in the present
and in the past
rarely considering
those things
that will last.
Our future's condemned
by 'men' of today,
they sell dreams
for which our
children will pay.

The present will pass
and the past will die.
Our leaders content
to continue the lies
about a world
they're too blind to see,
and blind to the days
that have yet to be.

All over our world
it's all the same,
blind leading blind
to them it's a game.
Games of glamour and wealth
that have no use
to a world that's swinging
in THEIR noose.

We in the present
must heed our past;
the mistakes we've made
the lives we've lost.
Ignorance of this
is a cause for fear,
poverty, death
and shedding of tears.

If we want to see
the new days light
we must end
THEIR mind-numbing blight.

It's our world
to kill, or to save
the choice is ours,
and we must be brave.
