My Best Friend

The hot new fad runnin' cross our land
is dodgin' our problems whenever we can.
All is right, and nothing's wrong
goes the lyric of our song.

All I want is to have some fun
I don't care what needs to be done.
Why look at trouble, it doesn't count;
I want pleasure in large amounts.

Day after day, and night after night
I prolong this pointless life.
My head's full of air, cant you see,
I let others think for me.

People dyin' all over the world,
I close my eyes to what's outside.
I don't even know who lives next door,
and I don't care if we go to war.

I've got a friend who keeps me free
from thinking about, anything.
He tells me not, to worry at all,
and my friend's called apathy.
