Sports is given due importance both in a curricular and extra-curricular setting. Forms one, two and three do two forty-five minute P.E. lessons per week.  Forms four and five have a P.E. lesson once a week.

This is definitely not all though!

We can mention the football and basketball leagues that are organised by Mr. Paul Debono and Ms. Griscti respectively and in which all the classes readily participate.

Volleyball is also a favourite with a number of our students and in fact training sessions and matches are organised by the dedicated Ms. Aloisio even after school hours.

There also is the Athletics Club, as you may have red in another section, one and a half hours every week is reserves for extra curricular activities referred to as clubs.  There is a very wide range of activities going on and indeed one of the clubs is dedicated to athletics, this is held under the care of Mr. Joseph Navarro and Mr. Marjoe Cassar both of whom are amateur athletes.

One traditional annual event that everybody looks forward to is Sports Day.  This is normally held in May and consists of inter- class competitions in various events.  One of the main highlights of the day is the football match between a team of school staff and one of students.  It is usually the latter who get the upper hand - amidst the wheezing and groaning of many of the teachers (this reminds me to start training early for next year!).

The photograph shows the participants of one of these matches...

Please come back and visit this page when after the summer recess.  We intend to put up a lot more information - including fixtures and results for the inter-class leagues, lists of the team members' names and more!!
