The Reality of Reincarnation
by Ra-Harakhte

Since spiritually we must emcompass the Actuality of the Nothing's Potential and come full circle, it is absurd to think we can do this in such a miniscule time of seventy to eighty years. Or for those unfortunate victims of crime or accidents who may not make it to their teens or thirties, how are they to reach that goal? Simple.

Life is not lived materially or physically, but spiritually

And spiritually, the soul is everlasting (it is a state of energy, and energy is indestructible -- it simply changes form). That means that it was there in the beginning, which means a portion of YOU was, too.

There are two reasons why people nowadays discount the "theory" of reincarnation: Number One, they cannot remember their past lives, and Number Two, the Bible doesn't mention reincarnation. I will deal with these two arguments with these rebuttals:

ARGUMENT NUMBER ONE
As we know, belief can play a very big role in how we view things. For instance, if you believe that talking before a large crowd would be difficult, you will no doubt make it that way. On the other hand, if you feel that talking to a crowd would be fun, likewise, it shall be that way, too. Equally, if you've been taught that past lives or multiple incarnations do not exist, or are bunk, then you undoubtedly will keep yourself from remembering them.

Everyone knows that people can, at traumatic times, force themselves to forget the traumatic incident. By the same token, some rehabilitative methods induce the ability to forget the need for whatever it is you are overusing. It is called dis-association. That is, you disconnect a thought or belief about something in your mind, thereby relieving yourself of the chains it has on you. Likewise, when you are taught that past lives do not exist, you dis-associate yourself with any memories or conscious connections you might have regarding such experiences. And it would be easy, since we can become so enthralled in certain events and circumstances that we can somtimes forget a simple lunch date; or so into the plot a movie we can forget our own lives.

Dis-associating from past lives would take no effort, since it is mainly memories that you are forgetting, not intuitive knowledge you may have learned.
Another reason why you may not have conscious recollection is the simple fact that a life in another period in history has its own value systems and cultural norms, different than we have today. And since we are so focused in this incarnation and its systems, it would be easy to lose connection with the others -- they are so foreign to us now. That, too, is dis-association.

There is some overwhelming evidence about the possibility of reincarnation as well. There is documentation of people being able to speak foreign languages without having in schooling of such language; of being able to identify locations without having ever been to the area; of understanding nuances of certain time periods without studying any history; and the list goes on.

Reincarnation gives us a glimpse of how it is possible for such child prodigies to have done what they did: How Mozart was able to compose music at the age of five, for instance.

Once we begin to believe in and study multiple incarnations, the more open we will be to remembering our other incarnational selves. For children, this comes naturally (if not told that it were nonsense), since they have yet to be fully indoctrinated into this reality and social customs.

Though it may take time, and maybe some generations, there will be a point where such memories will help us move into the direction we need to be, for it is the course of spiritual existence that other incarnational selves exists.

sidenote I say "incarnational selves" because the soul, being something that exists on all levels of dimension, does not perceive reincarnation as a linear experience (this life before that) it sees it as many existences going on at once. Therefore, it is not necessarily that you did this experience "before", but rather you did it in another incarnational self, and have the ability to perceive that through a process akin to "memory."

ARGUMENT NUMBER TWO
Now most people don't believe in reincarnation because "It is not written in the Bible." Basically what they're saying is, had it been written in the Bible, they would have believed in it without question. Well, wouldn't it surprise these people to know that it was in the Bible. In fact, it was in there for 500 years, until the year 532 a.d., when Emperor Constantine (that great Christian scholar who had his brother-in-law, wife, son, and two nephews murdered, unbelievers thrown in a well, and killed thousands upon bloody battlefields) had all passages of reincarnation removed. His reasoning: No one would live this life to the fullest, knowing that they had future ones ahead of them.

What true ignorance this man had!! He did not know that any life would not have been wasted away, for it was spiritual nature to evolve, and reincarnation (or multiple incarnations at once) is one of the aspects of that evolution. No lifetime is a waste, unless it is used to propogate the ignorance of the spirit.

This is by no means made up material. Anyone with sufficient interest can discover these facts. Just because Constantine had reincarnation removed from the Bible doesn't mean that it does not exist. Constantine knew the power of the mind, in that removing it would force people to believe in its non-existence, thereby living their life to HIS version of "the fullest" (whether that be for themselves, or at least for him, because he was the Emperor). Remember, most people back in those days were not educated, they couldn't read nor write. Their minds were simple. They were subject to what they were told to do and believe. Emperor Constantine's bloody actions as recorded in history certainly shows he didn't have any connection to the Divine, so you can rule out that "God told him to remove those passages."

What those passaged may have said regarding reincarnation and multiple physical existences we do not know (at least publicly). At any rate, the Bible did contain such passages, it was only the actions of an ignorant, power-hungry man in conjunction with the Church of his time (whose need of survival was to work in partnership with the monarchy) that they were purged and have left mankind in a room of darkness without a glimpse of Spiritual Life-Light.

To rediscover reincarnation (or multiple incarnations) in your life may take a lot of work. There is so much mental conditioning one must weed through. I would suggest reading whatever books you can find on the subject. Meditation, and yes, even hypnosis, can bring in memories of other incarnational selves. This can help you conquer phobias, and maybe even give you a better understanding of who you are and why you do certain things. At any rate, your pace on the road of Spirituality will have sped up, if only a little. And as the saying goes: Every little bit counts.
