About Anthony Padgett and His Swastika Art

I am an artist and began to use the swastika as part of a series of abstract expressionist experiments.

I have attached some images - these are not perfect quality for reasons of my needing to keep print quality images. They are of:

1) a rotating square of colours on a similarly
coloured backdrop. I was very surprised when this was
the result,
2) a triptych of three paintings (acrylic on
canvas)entitled Mystical to Moral [2nd,3rd,4th above]
                   i) Gottlieb
                  ii) Mondrian
                 iii) Rothko,
3) a patching together of the paintings to create a
seascape.
The work takes the ancient mystical symbol of the swastika and links these together to emphasise the universal interconnection of design. The swastika separates by a process of individuation and an imposition of form within time.

The swastika is an ancient symbol of the sun and also of the mystical depths. The piece relates to the mystical theosophical movement that both Mondrian and Kandinsky were involved with - as well as Jung.
