I was born to two wonderful parents, I went to a Church school and attended church school twice a week. At that time God was something that I assumed could exist quite easily, one thing I could not understand when I would say my prayers at night was how could He listen to allow the prayers and request of all those people praying at the same time around the world at once? God for me at that time was someone distant, far away and aloof from this planet, like some ruler who simply ruled far and above those who served him, never knowing him or ever seeing him. Since that time I have learnt is real to experience and close than you would normally think, and will hear you if you have the faith to call on him and take that step of faith. Ultimately knowing God and his will is through relationship, if we could resolve our relationship problems with each other then this world would be a better place.

I first came into contact with computers with the good old Sinclair ZX81 which my dear Dad bought back in 1980 and I was hooked! I studied at the [University of Greenwich], where I learnt more about life, computers and came to my belief in a one true God and his Son Jesus Christ. A greater proportion of these documents are being written on a [Psion Series 5] which is a remarkable machine and would recommend to any prospective Palmtop buyer.

Since then I have been involved in many discussions with people of similar and opposing beliefs or those who believe nothing at all. This has helped me to learn and grow by being challenged and finding answers to questions. Islam is a belief system that shares many similarities with Christianity and this is a good source of dialogue in which I intend to learn and grow in knowledge.

As the famous saying goes, ‘there are always more questions than answers!’

I have been fortunate enough to do a work placement in Germany at the [Albstadt-Sigmaringen Polytechnic] working for a company called Mettler-Toledo. The German connection extends a little further, because my wife Minok, is also from this lovely country.
