There are many
special words
that to me hold
a lot of worth.

Of all these words
dear to me,
the dearest of all
is FAMILY.

What to me,
you may say,
does this word
mean today?

Let me tell you,

it does not mean
what it used to.

It used to mean
heartache and pain,
and many other
feelings the same.

But now, because
of all of you,
it's come to mean
something new.

Now it means
that I can be
content and happy
just being me.

It also means
joy and peace,
because all of you
to me bring these.

It also makes
my heart rejoice
to know you all
picked me by choice.

Just knowing all
of you are there
when I need you,
and that you care

Gives me strength
to carry on
until I finally
to you can come.
