The Ten Commandments
These are from the Old Testament, following directly after this list is the Creed statement from the New Testament. These were taken directly from the King James Version of the Bible.
We chose to display these here so that many may continue to learn. While reading we ask that you truly read each word and understand it only as you can personally, not what you've been told they mean. These older statements have caused much problems in the world and thus many now only follow the statement from the New Testament.
1. I am the Lord thy God thou shalt have no other Gods before me thou shalt not make unto me any graven image or any likeness of anything that is in Heaven above or the Earth beneath or in the water thou shalt not bow down thyself to them nor serve them for I the Lord thy God an a jealous God.
2. Thou shalt not take the name of the Lord thy God in vain; for the Lord will not hold him guiltless that taketh his name in vain.
3. Remember the Sabbath day, to keep it holy six days thou shalt labor and do all thy work, but the seventh day is the sabbath of the Lord thy God; in it thou shalt not do any work thou nor thy son nor thy son nor thy man servant nor thy maid servant nor they cattle nor they stranger that is within thy gates.
4. Honor thy father and thy mother; that thy days may be long upon the lands that the Lord thy God has given thee.
5. Thou shalt not kill.
6. Thou shalt not commit adultery
7. Thou shalt not steal
8. Thou shalt not bear false witness against thy neighbor
9. Thou shalt not covet thy neighbors house
10. Thou shalt not covet thy neighbors wife, nor his man servant, nor his maid servant nor his ox nor his ass nor anything that is thy neighbors.
