Merry Meet,

The following pages are very brief. Originally they were each about twenty pages in length. I've begun taking those pages and dividing them up so that there wasn't so much to read at one time. Eventually there will be at least two to three more layers to each of the following. The first section is of course a brief explanation of what the celebration is all about. The next will be a history of the celebration--eventually covering several different belief systems and the histories of each. And thirdly there will be a very general ritual written out for anyone to use that wishes to.

When writing these pages I researched several different Pagan paths and merged them together. It is a goal of Celestials to teach about religion in general, yes our main focus is on Paganism but that is because of our perceptions and beliefs. Just as many other groups have formed together to assist all in understanding so have we. We want the world to know that we are not what the media and folktales have made us out to be. We do understand the ways of religion and we are very proud of ours.

I have studied and researched many religions. Try as I may I can not please everyone, I certainly hope that you do not expect me to. When I write about other religions upon these pages and other pages contained in this site I write from what I have learned and read. Whenever a religious statement is made or a reference is pointed out I will try my best to back it up with as many facts as I can. I would appreciate any help that any of you could give me with this. There is much to cover in the world and history.

If you feel that information is incorrect, please let me know and I will do my best to either prove it or change it. This is a teaching group and we are still learning, as we will continue to do. Site errors and historical facts as well occur.

One of the things I can mention here and now is the titles I felt were necessary on the following pages and throughout the site. When I refer to Pagan this is a general term. I've said it so many times before and I'll say it again here: A Wiccan is a religious path that is specified to Wicca. A Wiccan is classified as a Pagan. A Pagan may be a Wiccan though does not need to be. The above could have been listed with Astru, Atlantian, Odinist, Shaman, just about any path other than Wicca. The same goes for the term Christian and Catholic which these days have become almost synonymous with each other. In truth Christianity was first according to reference material. Catholics and all branches there of fall under the classification of Christians. When the term Christian is used it can literally represent just about any of the faiths that believe in One God or even just those that recognize Jesus. This is not an insulting term, nor is it incorrect when speaking with anyone associated with this path in life.

Each path is labeled differently, though they are viewed by general public the same. Let's see are you Alternative?, Christian?, Pagan?, Buddhist, or Satanic? The list goes on and on and on. Let's not judge each other until we understand each other please.

Another term that has caused much difficulties is that of witch. What is a witch, and why is it considered an insult to so many? I'm not going to answer that here. I will say this much though. There are bad ones and good ones. Some believe that a male can not be a witch others say he can. It is not for me to judge, instead I have chosen to use this as yet another general term. Wiccans are generally referred to as witches, Pagans as well. It isn't true, but it is a generally accepted title. Where you read the word witch on these pages it is a reference to a person, genderless, and soon the words will all be found and new one's inserted. Give me sometime, we are upgrading the entire site which will take some time in doing.

If you are interested in terms and what they mean please keep your eyes open for our definitions section.

Love and Light, Blessed Be!
