Divination

The art of divining has gotten a bad reputation over the centuries, hopefully we can begin to clear that up along with all the others out there teaching the truths about this act.

Divination is considered the art of foreseeing. Whether it is with the use of reading the tarot, palmistry, rods, or the earth itself with sticks or stones it is still foreseeing at it's base root.

There are energies that lead to certain paths. It is often said that history repeats itself, this is very true. If you were to know a person very well and suddenly thought that they were going to be dumped yet again very soon is this divination or knowing the person and what usually happens. Answer---same thing. When people divine they pick up on the energies that surround an area or a person. Those that are very in tune with the earth seem to have better "luck" with divining rods then those that aren't. Same goes with reading of the tarot or tea leaves.

There are so many various ways of diving that it will take quite some time to even list a forth of the ways it is done on these pages. There is nothing evil or scary about it.

When a diviner sets down and begins to "read" the cards per se they "tune" into the energies around them first, then the cards, then the person (or vice-versa on the last two). If one is not focused, centered, and relaxed then the reading will be very difficult if not close to impossible to have any accuracy with at all.

Whether the energy comes from the cards being able to tell the "future", from a deity that favors someone with the "gift" or that the person is actually psychic and doesn't read the cards at all but the person doesn't really matter at this point. What matters is that the individual is divining. Foreseeing what may come.

Many fail to remember one basic step when it comes to foreseeing the possible future--did you catch it? Possible. There is a rule of thumb to be used at all times no matter if you call it fate, destiny, soothsaying, foreseeing, reading, etc… The rule of thumb? This is simple: there are always three paths. Let me lay it out with a simple example.

Person sets down and has a tea leaf reading done. The diviner foresees a sickness associated with travel. This is what is being seen at that time! The person that got the reading, let's see….

  1. Thinks its "bunk" and goes on that trip around the world anyhow. Drinks from a well and gets sick.
  2. Thinks about what the diviner said and chooses to have a physical beforehand and the doctor tells the person that there is an outbreak of lala in Twillian. Person gets an inoculation against it and takes bottled water with them.
  3. Person takes the diviner very seriously and decides against the trip altogether.

Now, not even going into the three branches that could have lead off each of these three paths and continue on with that as far as your mind allows at this moment. Let's take a look at reaction. Now, did the Doctor save the person? Was the diviner only guessing because the person said they were travelling around the world? Was it truly necessary for the person not to go on the trip?

If one is a believer in the art of divination they have a tendency to thank the diviner (or the Gods) for the wonderful insight. If perhaps only part believes or wishes to give credit to all possible then the person thanks for the warning, but appreciates the intelligence of the Doctor. The person didn't go to the doctor, didn't go on the trip and uses it as an excuse. It is all together possible the person wasn't meant to go in the first place and the diviner knew that the thought of illness would be enough to help the person decide not to risk it or that the person would go to the doctor. Who's to know?

Life is strange, there are no absolutes, take a path go down it a little ways, if you don't like it you can always chose to take a different one.

Continue making your own choices, follow your path, and if you get readings along the way get out of them what you can, no one truly knows where the knowledge comes from--it's all perception and belief.
