In the early 1960's a small group of Baptist pastors, who were committed to the doctrines of grace, began to meet monthly for fellowship, sharing theological papers and praying for one another and the churches in their care.

Before long they were working together in sponsoring and staffing an annual Sovereign Grace Bible Camp for the children and young people of their churches.

Then came the annual Sovereign Grace Bible Conferences. These and other developments eventually led to the formation of the Sovereign Grace Baptist Association of Churches.
