Oh,
so you actually want to know my life story. WOW! Where
should I start? Maybe from birth? Hmmm. Well, I
came into this lovely world in the early hours of
February 20, 1976 in the delightful Texan city of Corpus
Christi, where I continue to reside. I am currently
working on a Bachelor degree in the field of Education
with Emphasis in English at Texas A&M University-Corpus
Christi. However, my future plan is to get my Ph.D. in
either Education or English.
As
for family, it seems continually to expand. Let me state
the general consensus of my clan. My parents seem madly
in-love even after 25+ years of marriage. My older
brother is into Computer Science. He is currently working
as one of the Networking Managers of the University's
Computer Services. My younger sister is an English major
and has already transferred to Texas A&M University-Corpus
Christi since the fall of 1998. Most important of them
all, my old orange tabby has decided that she is the
queen of our household.
As
for hobbies, I like mostly what everyone else seems to
enjoy (watching movies, listening to music, shopping, and
so forth). However, I do have one odd fascination; I have
an adamant passion for the French language and culture,
which stems from studying the language for five years in
secondary school. Despite the length of my study, I
really do not consider myself as fluent because I have
not really practiced the language since 1994. However,
that does not keep me from listening to French music,
reading French articles and watching French films. Well
actually, I like to watch all sorts of foreign films.
As
for religion, I am agnostic, which means that I believe
in a variety of theological philosophies. Many people
believe that such individuals are nonbelievers of God.
However, this is absolutely untrue. If you question God,
you are making your faith stronger. My philosophy is that
all the religions have a role in the Universe (even
atheism), and none of us should deprecate anyone for
carrying different religious beliefs.
Well,
I think I told you everything about myself. However,
before developing an opinion on my character, I do stress
out the importance of talking to me in order to get a
real understanding of my persona. To illustrate, I might
sound a bit vain and haughty in my tone on this
particular writing, but some people will actually say
that I am actually extremely modest and open-minded in-person.

November 30, 2002: Lots of updates.
First, I am teaching 2nd grade with the same children
I had last year. Second, my brother just got engaged
to a wonderful girl named Blanca (I get a new baby sister).
Third, I am single again. I could not handle the stresses
in my ex's life. I am enjoying being an individual again.
I do wish him only the best and hope that one day he will
find his way in his life. Fourth, I am single again, and
I am looking for a nice guy who will treat me like a princess.:)

January
2002
Well, it has been almost a year
since I made any comments
- In May 2001, I was
promoted at the Help Desk to the
Supervisor of it.
- In Sept. 2001, I
interviewed and suprisingly got a job as
a CSR teacher at Sanders Ele. A majority
of the kids are cool and cute.
- On December 28, 2001, I
became engaged to Daniel. I had no idea
how to break it to my parents (and was
very scared to tell them), but I was
actually pretty suprised at how accepting
and excited they were for us. No date has
been set.

February 2001
My goodness so much has
happened these past months (some good some bad).
- My dearest friend Misty
Lewis got into medical school in
Passadena, Texas. She is so intelligent
that the admissions board admitted her
just on the basis of her grades and M-Cat
scores (they never required any
interviews). I am so proud of her.
- My father had a minor
heart attack, but is recovering from it
pretty well . He had angioplastie and a
stint put in (which is working very well
for him). The ironic part of all of this
is that he had his heart attack during a
month that is focusing on educating
society on heart diseases. Out of this
awful situation, I am thankful for two
things: for my dad's life and for such
wonderful friends as Misty Lewis and
Daniel Shelton (who took care of me
during this crisis).
- I began dating one of my
dearest friends (his name is Daniel
Shelton, and he is extremely intelligent
, sweet, and has these gorgeous blue eyes).
Officially, we began dating about a week
after Valentine's Day, but I knew my
feelings were a lot stronger for him
during the weekend that my father had his
heart attack. His actions demonstrates
his caring and selfless personality, and
yes, my mom adores him. If you want to
learn more about him, you can visit his
site at http://geocities.com/dps218
.
- My sister taught her
first lesson today in her Field Block 1.
She did such an excellent job.

October
2000
- I was FINALLY accepted
into the Masters program for Curriculum
and Instruction. I may change to the
Special Education program later or. If I
do not, I will get a second Masters in
Special Education.
- I began subbing in CCISD.
It amazes me how different so many
classes are from the class I did my
student teaching in (I miss all my kids
from my student teaching class). I am
finding that I like the classes in the
SES schools I am subbing at than the
schools in the higher class areas.

May
2000
- I finally got my
Bachelors degree, but I did not go to my
graduation for reasons I do not feel like
sharing. I was baffled that I graduated
with honors. I am planning to get my
Masters now.
- I passed both of my
ExCETs, which means that I can get my
certification now.
