The Peter Williams Page

This page is dedicated to Peter Williams as a gift from his "crazy artist" Australian fan. It has notes on Peter Williams' Favorite Sig "One Love" and on the meaning and history of his name plus translations into other languages. Its purpose is not trivia generation but to supplement existing pages with detail and to provide minor but perhaps amusing for junior classes material for translation excercises if you're a Classics Teacher. Please contribute a sig translation in a language not yet listed! Hey if we end up with a long list maybe we could print it out as a pamphlet or something with Peter's autograph and sell it for charity?

  In this language it was probably prounounced something like

Peter's Name

Peter's First Name means ROCK in Greek. His family name Williams means Son of Thought Helm - Will + Helm. In ancient Egyptian this would make his name something like Iner SaKherpeshenRekh. I have substituted the word for the blue war crown since that's the closest thing I know of to a helmet which the Egyptians did not seem to have used?
