box Comments: Never before in my life have I allowed a book, or in this case, 4 books, to consume my life like these did. I usually read for distraction . With these books, I was so involved with them that when I wasn't reading them, I was thinking about them. I too them to work, to the bathroom, where ever I went. I found my real life to be a distraction! All I wanted to do was read more about Jamie and Claire. My life was on hold until I got through them! I understand that many people re-read them! I am almos afraid to!

box Do you have a fav. quote?: yes, beginning with page one in Outlander, and ending on the last page of DoA!

box Comments: I have been on a fruitless search for a comparable author to hold me over until the next book in the series. Gabaldon's books are the best I have ever read and my husband is currently enjoying them, too. Jamie is my dream man - the way he TALKS to Clair , expresses his feelings, just floors me! Too good to be true, ye ken, but that's what reading is all about, aye? Escape to a magical place. Thank you for the chance to share and read the comments of others! And thank you, Diana Gabaldon!

box Which one is your favorite?: Dragonfly in Amber
box Comments: I really had a hard time picking a favorite one. When I read them (as I have every summer since I started), I read them one right after another, so it seems like one continuous book. It is amazing that I get more out of the books each time I read them. My husband is skeptical that there ever could be anyone like Jamie though! Thanks for the site.

box Which one is your favorite?: Well, since I read the 4th one first, it was my fave until the second time I read Dragonfly; I am a huge Scottish history freak.
box Do you have a fav. quote?: Jenny remarked that the reason women are so sad after giving birth is because they are mourning the child they thought they were carrying, and thought they knew. She was so right.
box Comments: My husband has considered commiting me- he cannot understand my obsession with these books! And an obsession it is. I just don't see how I can be expected to wait until 2000 for the next one. The waiting is worse than pregnancy.

box Comments: I love this series to death. I have reread them all numerous times. I was introduced to them by my mother when I was a sophomore in High School, yes young, but my best friend at the time was also reading them, and I just got sick of her telling me how g od they were so I just picked up Outlander one day and decided to read it, boy, did I make the biggest decision of my life right then or what?!? Now more of my good friends are reading them, including my sister, freshman in High School, my Grandma, Aunt, cousin, and many more. I wasn't surprised to find such a big site on here about her books, I already knew they were great, I figured others _had_ to know about them, and it is a great opportunity to talk with others about them so you don't feel so obbsess d yourself about reading them for the umpteenth time. THANKS!! (Jamie takes my breath away, how 'bout you?)

box Which one is your favorite?: I have a thing about Dragonflies, so it would have to be Dragonfly in Amber, the book I love too much to hate! It started me buying Hardcovers of these Books!
box Do you have a fav. quote?: "I can take a book from dusty shelves...and be haunted by the thoughts....in their winding sheet of words."
box Comments: Well...I was the Creator of the Outlander Reading Group at AOL, dating back to a time when I thought... "maybe I'll be lucky and find 10 or 15 people that wanna discuss this series" ;)I found a few more than that, and have had the pleasure of meeting the uthor online and off, and involving myself in a wonderful community. Whether you like the book for its time travel and fantasy elements, its historical perspectives on Scotland and the New World of the 18th century, or you just plain like a GOOD READ, Dia a has managed to affect us all with her wonderful words! A Dragonfly is honored by the Native Americans as a fetish which looks ordinary outside but contains the magic within. That certainly describes these books to me...:)

Maybe I should inquire about buying in bulk. I was surprised to see so much activity on the internet re:this. But I suppose I shouldn't be.
