Apology To A Black Woman
To walk the street you can't alone For the fear of something just mite go wrong
Like a big black fellow pulling on your sleeve You stand and talk but you just want to leave
So, you continue your walk now astray Hoping that another won't come your way
Low and be hold comes another guy One that looks so hard that you just want to cry
You act like your mean with hopes that he will go away But instead he yells and scream things you never thought he would say
Now you walk with tears in your eyes And who goes there a nice, beautiful looking guy
He ask you your name and what is wrong You reply like a bird singing a beautiful love song
You thought conversation would be sweet and warm But all he wanted to do was take you home
Now to your dorm you make your way And there in your room you just want to stay
It seems no matter what you do it's just not right Because the guys around your world won't treat you nice
I'm not trying to say this is what we all do But for the majority this is true
So to all my ladies I'm trying to say Take my APOLOGY and for all men do pray
