Based on the charming children's book by Chris Van Allsburg, published by Houghton-Mifflin, visitors will take a magical steam train ride aboard festively decorated coach cars to the "North Pole" while hearing the story of The Polar Express©.

Upon arrival at the North Pole, everyone will receive cocoa and cookies and meet with some costumed characters before Santa boards the train to give each child a gift bell!

Everyone is welcome to get into the spirit of the story by wearing your favorite winter pajamas to the event, as the coaches are also steam heated (but please wear appropriate outerwear, as waiting lines may be extended outdoors!).

The total round-trip time for the train ride, story and North Pole visit is approximately 45-60 minutes. Payment to ride with The Polar Express entitles those visitors entry to the Park's museums, with the added bonus of viewing our annual "Festival of Trees" exhibits on that same day!
