FRIENDSHIP
"Friendship" is a term we use
That no one understands.
To me, a friend is someone
Who is always there at hand.
A friend should be a person
You can reach out for - and find
When trouble comes your way
Or when you're in a bind!
I wonder, as I sit here now;
How many people know
Just what a true friend really is
Or how far one will go?
I look around this crowded room
And all that I can see
Is emptiness within the eyes
Looking back at me!
FRIENDS?
When you needed me
I was always here!
Now that I need you,
You are nowhere near!
