WHITE CROSSES

Here beneath the white crosses, row on row,

Lay the nation's heroes, side by side,

And they do not care, they cannot know,

That we look upon them with honor and pride.

They served their country in time of need,

At home, or across the sea.

They died performing an honorable deed,

That their country might be free.

Don't burn the flag for which they fought!

America is your home...and mine!

You enjoy the liberty their lives have bought;

Don't now defile their shrine!

Black or white, yellow or brown,

They lie beneath the hallowed sod.

Worthy of tribute, and renown -

Let their judgement rest with God!
