Disclaimer

This is my personal opinion on the deities and is in no way a
reflection of what anyone else believes. It is also not
my intention to try to make anyone a monotheist.
I repeat this is just one pagans belief!

As the goddess is three entities but one, SO is it in every religion
There is a massive energy force that we are all a part of....that includes the plants the animals and even inanimate objects. Everyone and everything is part of the whole.

For those of us who believe that, and have faith in it we call it a god and goddess (Be it a Christians calling his god to help him get through a death or a pagan calling up the deities to celebrate that death, as a new level for that person.)
Regardless what name or names we give it we all agree it is there!

Polytheism is like a person. Each of us are just one entity yet we all have several aspects, love hate, despair, a wild side and a gentle side ect...... They, the emotions, are not physically different parts of a different person or us. They are intangible.

As they are intangible so is the whole of the energy that we are all a part of.
However to relate to that whole and connect with it most of us need a focal point. Hence the different deities.
(example...If you want to call upon the love side of the whole and are Greek you call Aphrodite's, If you want to have the part of nature that is wild and free if you are celtic then you would call the green man, you would choose.)

That is the easiest way I know of explaining it to both pagan and Non-pagan alike. I t helps to show in some small way that we are not all that different in our belief as some try to say we are. We just all have different ways of achieving the end goal.
Which except for a few of us that goal is to above all Love each other and to do the best we can to make the world just a little better for the next generation to come.
