Course Description

Description
The main purpose of this course is to help teachers and teacher trainees to become better informed about the subject of foreign language teaching. The first two chapters are turned mainly towards theoretical aspects of language teaching. The third chapter deals with psycholinguistic theories, and the last chapter points towards the questions of approaches and methods.

Objectives
Upon successful completion of the course, students should be able to:

Apply the principles of L2 teaching to practical situations.
Use a method or part of a method according to the objectives of the course being taught.
Design a syllabus according to a specific teaching context.
Acquire some skill in selecting and grading the material to be taught.
