Ebon House: Nightmare in a Minor Key

Where?

Immortality is at an end.
All the happiness washes away in red rain.
Dazedly watching the ancient oak
drink deep of this unwitting sacrifice.
Where are my friends?

So much shattered glass, shattered bone.
Who is this faceless lad?
Black and red metal twisted together
in obscene parody of breeding.
Where are my friends?

Dizzy, dazed, spinning around and around while standing stock still.
Look behind the antique tree.
Seeing a broken mannikin.
Is this stringless marionette my friend's wife?

Stepping into the palm of a severed hand.
Walking in confusion, smelling gas.
A house decked out in midnight black.
Crying red tears from empty socket-like windows.

Stagger step towards this false haven.
Pass between headless driver and best friend's head.
Where are my friends?

How can they be dead when I am still alive??
