Moshav livin' - it's what we do most of the time:
hanging out at the place we call home - Moshav Yad HaShmonah. The moshav
is a small community of 100 members (including the children) who have been
together for about 25 years. Their work: running a holiday village and
building wood furniture in the carpentry (a novelty in this country).
Their raison d'etre: to be a believing Jewish witness in the midst of an Israel
that has largely rejected Jesus (Yeshua) as the Messiah.

Bus travel is a big part of the IBEX experience. This
is us on one of the minibuses coming home after church. |
|
Monica, Amy and Allison enjoy the dress-up Shabbat dinner
together. Tonight's menu: chicken and rice :-) |

More of us eating the Friday night dinner outside. The
one that looks like a ghost is Seth. |

The fiery red sunset over the Mediterranean turned a few
heads during dinner. You pay lots of money for this kind of view at
fancy restaurants. |
 |
|
 |
But fancy restaurants don't make you do the dishes.
Here moshav volunteer Marie gives lessons. |
|
Brett, Kasey, Leo and Wendy had dish duty on the first
Shabbat dinner. |

Randy gives advice to students wondering how they can join
the Israeli army. |

As expected, the girls at IBEX are all attracted to
boys. This boy, Luke, gets lots of attention. Luke is IBEX
teacher Todd's son. |

We worship on Saturday mornings at Jerusalem Assembly with
about 100 other believers. |

The students picked these as the dorm leaders for the
semester. Top row: Becky (IBEX volunteer), Leo and Preston. On
