Knowing someone
is not the same as
really knowing a person.
One can know another
by appearance or by name
but to really know someone
is to delve deep
into the mind
of the individual
grasping their
hopes and dreams
throughout life.
By name or appearance
one cannot grasp
such things
but only find
the impenetrable mask
never to find
the real friend.
