A Sunday evening reception for State Treasurer Bob Holden and a dance honoring Lt. Gov. Roger Wilson initiated the festivities for the Buchanan County delegation of Committeewomen.
Inauguration day began with a breakfast hosted by Secretary of State Becki Cook.
The Committeewomen, wearing their distinctive Buchanan County Plaid blazers, and the Clinton County Commissioner joined Bob Holden's dad briefly before heading for the inauguration ceremonies at the state capitol.

After a tour of the capitol yielded at least three partners for the evening ball, the three "drop dead gorgeous" women were ready to descend to the rotunda to claim their dances.
At midnight the trio joined State Senator Sydney Johnson in his capitol office to end the celebration.
The powerful Sixth Ward Committeewoman, the First Ward Committeewoman, the State Senator and the Presiding Commissioner of Clinton County.
