Situation: January, 1945 - Your russian
Guards units have landed from small boats not far from a bridge
over the Danube River in the middle of the town of Duisburg, Hungary.
A plan was developed by the Guards to conduct a stealth assault
under cover of darkness and capture the West end of the bridge.
Reinforcements, in the form of an armored column, is coming from
the East, across the river.
Your units:
15 - Russian Guards Squads
15 - Lend Lease British PIATs
5 - MMG
1 - HMG
3 - German Panzerschrecks (captured weapon
rules do not apply)
Orders: Seize the bridge over the Danube River at Duisburg. Do not allow German units
to cross the bridge from either direction. "Hold the bridge until the last
bullet."
Weather: Moderate Snow

Set up (where entering): To be determined
by judge
Stealth
Assualt: Your troops may attempt to conduct a stealth assault against the German units
guarding the West end of the bridge. Under cover of darkness, moving at a
1-inch penalty rate without double time, your troops may eliminate enemy squads without
alarming other German squads. With the assistance of the judge, upon encountering an enemy
squad (moving to within one inch of th enemy squad), roll two percentile dice. Use the
following chart to determine the disposition of the encounter:
|
75% or less - eliminate first squad
65% or less - eliminate second squad
60% or less - eliminate third squad
50% or less - eliminate fourth squad
40% or less - eliminate fifth squad
30% or less - eliminate sixth squad
20% or less - eliminate seventh squad
10% or less - eliminates each squad thereafter, one at a time |
On any dice roll in which the required roll is exceeded, it is assumed shots have been
fired (or someone has tripped over their own big feet) and the stealth attack comes to an
immediate end. All other enemy squads on the board must be attacked in the usual manner.
