Thank you for the intellectual effort you put into your article. I found it interesting and it stimulated some new thoughts. Perhaps science can spend more time investigating the material differences between a living and dead organism, to account for the
fundamentally different real world characteristics of these 2 states.

Your spending alot of time on cause effect which indicates a universal time line. Couldn't time be taken out of the picture at some point? Also I feel very confident in the concept of a soul-spirit and found it dismissed too quickly for my tastes.
All living things have souls, even plants. Souls are the life principles in all living things. They animate the body, allowing movement and growth. In animals you can see some faint likeness of knowledge, some faint beginning of social life, as well.
But your soul not only animates your body, it has powers of its own, powers utterly outside the possibilities of matter. Do you know what spirit is? Look at your spirit, the one you know best. Spirit is the element in us by which we know and love, by wh
ch
therefore we decide. Our body knows nothing; loves nothing (bodily pleasures are not enjoyed by the body; it reacts to them physically, with heightened pulse, for instance; but it is the knowing mind that enjoys the reactions); the body decides nothing (t
ough our will may decide in favor of things that give us bodily pleasure).
Spirit knows and loves. A slightly longer look at ourselves reveals that spirit has power, too. It is your mind that has the power to split the atom; the atom can not split the mind, it can not even split itself, it does not even know about its own elec
rons. Spirit produces what matter can not. Your mind uses your body, you do not ask your body's consent. The mind is the principal, the body the instrument. Is the instrument essential? Must the mind use it to cope with matter? You may will to raise yo
r arm and it raises. This is
'mind over matter'. The raising of an arm is a complicated anatomical activity, but it is set in motion by a decision of your will. The direct power of the human mind over its own body, mightier spirits have over all matter.
The mingling of spirit and matter in human actions arises from a fact that distinguishes man's spirit from all others. Yours is the only spirit which is also a soul (the life principal in the body). God and the angels are spirits; they have no body and
herefore have no soul.
The soul is in every part of the body. The soul, being a spirit, is not in space at all. How can it be in every part of the body which is in
space? The soul animates the body by superiority of energy. A spirit is where it acts; the soul is in every part of the body because no part
of the body escapes its life-giving action.
Man is a social being. You came to be because other humans produced you and you remained because others maintained you. We don't out grow this. We have all sorts of needs which we can not supply for ourselves, and all sorts of powers - to love, to teac
, to procreate - which can never be used except with others.
You are made by god of nothing, are held into existence from moment to moment simply by god's will to hold you there. God's will is the reason
for your existence; so god's will must be the law of existence. To disobey the law is sin; to think we can gain by disobeying it is insanity.
I went fast at the end, but I think it'll make sense to you.

The 'metaphysics of blue' was worth the reading and I'll read it again..especially the sections
which proclaim to have turned the Thales world inside out...as for myself..I can never again believe either spiritualists or scientists..for the following reasons; I have had a small metallic bearing-like object fall out of thin air and unto the pages of
book I was reading while inside an enclosed bedroom and roll off and unto the carpet where it couldn't be found..I've been asleep in deep rem-levels and awoke to a horrific pain on my lower left leg which caused to to wrench in great pain and then as sud

the process of accessing 'transcendent events' and
religious leaders who disclaim and disapprove of anything which doesn't conform to their 'absolute assertions'..it going to get nothing but more serious in the few years ahead..now up to 6 billion of simple P with B's in front of M's typing out a massive

They say we are what we think about. Or we become what we think about. Is it true that you can 'heal' yourself by positive thingking and how does it work? I've heard that people lost weight and control it just by the way thay think. Also people with a
terminal illness healed or better themselves just by the way they think. This to me is very interesting and would like to know or read more about it. Any sugestions?

I can accept that it's all waves being transmitted and we are all receivers. This metaphysical exploration can continue when the fourth dimension is discovered. Any news on that front?
Only criticism: I studied linguistics. I learned, "the bigger the word, the less its meaning." Can you say the same thing using smaller words? You might not be interested in being understood by everyone but I don't have time to analyse all that.
