A Short History of
SCULPTURE BRIGADE

You've probably never heard of Sculpture Brigade. You weren't allowed to. Or so the conspiracy theorists would have you believe.

Sculpture Brigade started in New York City, around 1978 or so. Details of their beginnings are hard to come by. In fact, information about this band is hard to come by in general. Fortunately, with the help of Scott Owen, a self-described "former friend" of the Brigade's vocalist, Shok Swastika, I was bale to piece together a bit... Our story begins at CBGB's, October 15, 1977. Czeslav Szwaszczek was there to check out the Ramones. He was dressed for the occasion, it seemed, in a leather dominatrix outfit, which he's read in Poland was the coolest thing to wear at a punk club. During the break before the Ramones' set, he spied another outrageous character dressed entirely in scarlet velour. (There was probably no shortage of outrageous characters there that night.) This character was Nick Tehan, a 5-foot- tall Irishman with a blue-dyed pony tail that stretched down below his butt. Czeslav Szcwaszczek [...rest of text is missing--possibly hacked by someone who doesn't want the truth to be known...]
