THAT SPECIAL THING CALLED LOVE

They thought the day would never come
When they would say good-bye
Then he came in the picture
And he made her wonder why
She wondered why she stayed here
With this cold and selfish guy
When she could have an angel
But she didn't understand
She thought he was off limits
And she thought there was no use
She thought she had the right one
But she couldn't see the truth
She didn't know he loved her
That sweet angel in disguise
Until the day she realized
Her heart was telling lies
The truth was that she didn't love
That man so cruel but smooth
She loved this new-come angel
And had nothing left to lose
She thought he was a dream come true
And hoped he felt the same
And now she feels he's what she needs
And grateful that he came
He gave her a safe haven
From the evil twisted dove
He gave her something special
That special thing called love
