These books require a bit more time and concentration than the two-apple books,
but they are well worth it!  All of these authors are absolutely terrific!

	The story of Ben Meechan, a young man growing up in a military family with a strict father.  An excellent book!		This book is at least 3 1/2 apples.  It's a beautifully written story of Tom Wingo, his twin sister Savannah, and their  dynfunctional family; it's English Teacher's favorite of all the Conroy books.
	This book is English Teacher's least favorite of the Pat Conroy books, but it is still very well written.  It is the story of a man trying to come to terms with his wife's suicide.		This novel is set in a military academy for young boys.  It's brutal, but a great story.
	This book is autobiographical and details the adventures of a young male teacher in a poor community.  Of course, English Teacher is quite partial to stories of good teachers who care about their students!	More as he writes them!

	Irish revolutionaries take over a cathedral in New York.		In Mrs. Ivanova's Charm School, young KGB agents are taught by American POWs how to be model US citizens.		When a base commander's daughter is raped and murdered, a preliminary search points to a scandal of major proportions.

At the end of WWII, an ex-cop/trainee lawyer soon finds himself embroiled in a world of violence and double-crossing enemy agents.		A searing and sizzling thriller centered around the unending Arab-Israeli conflict.
