Asian and Hispanics will be the controlling social groups, while blacks will be the minority and white population will barely be 1 percent. In 2009 Smith will finally get its freedom back because in 2001 the government would have taken over because of the low ABC scores, causing an exodus of teachers. Instead of being at the bottom of the comparative assessment of Guilford County School’s 14 high schools, Smith will be in the middle heading to the top. School spirit will be existent in every aspect of the school, something that was missing in 1999. The majority of Smith’s sports will be dominant as we win our first state championship -- in soccer.
