It’s going to be a killer year at Shadyside High School.
In fact, the senior class at Shadyside is doomed.
Or at least that’s the prediction Trisha Conrad makes at her summer party, and it looks as if she may be right.
Spend a year with the Fear Street seniors. Each month in this new 12-book series brings horror after horror.
The big question is: will anyone reach graduation day alive? Only R.L. Stine knows.
Stine is a best-selling author who started writing short stories, joke books and comic books for his friends when he was 9. His first scary novel for kids became an immediate best seller and, after writing dozens of teenage thrillers, Stine created his best selling series books: Goosebumps, Ghosts of Fear Street, Fear Street Sagas and Fear Street, which includes his first ever 12-book series with continuous characters, Fear Street Seniors, which began in June 1998.
Fear Street Seniors follows the senior class at Shadyside as it tries to get through a "killer" senior year. No one knows which of the characters will survive the year.
I recommend episode eight, Sweet Hart, Evil Hart. It tells the story of a guy who just goes too far with being girl crazy and it finally gets to him. The problem with him is he has three girlfriends and he thinks they do not know about each other, but they do. They want to play a joke to get back at him for it, so they make up a girl named Amy who is a real girl at one time but has since died.
Ty Sullivan thinks he’s so hot, especially since he’s seeing three girls at the same time. And when Ty gets a valentine from the mysterious Amy, he decides to go out with her too. But Amy isn’t like the other girls, she’s dead.
It also looks like the seniors will die one by one until there’s no one left.
Will this happen? Will Ty get his comeuppance? Stine keeps you guessing all the way through. That’s what makes him a mastery story-teller.
