Christopher leads you through the long corridor, lined with doors similar
to Shila's. You guess that the outer part of the temple must be used
as a sort of dormatory, as that is all you see here.
'Listen... I'm sorry about what happened back there.' Christopher
says, leading you around a corner. 'I guess I just caught up with your
fame.'
'That's okay. It's not the first time' You assure him. It's the truth too-
you're nearly this famous back in Okems. It's hard to get people
who control their appreciation for your saving their lives.
Christopher doesn't say anything- he just keeps leading you through
the hallways. After a minute or so, you leave the countless rows of
nondecript doors, and enter a larger hall. Light filters through a
stained-glass window many stories up. On either side of the corridor,
large wooden gateways lie open, leading to rooms that appear
vacant but for furniture. It is to one of these that the young cleric
leads you. 'This is your room.' He says finally. 'It's getting late,
so I have to go back to my room. Father Leons wanted me to tell you
that he is preparing supplies for your jouney, and that they will be
prepared by the time you leave tomorrow morning.'
You look toward Christopher quizzically. 'I didn't know that anyone
was aware of my journey.'
Christopher looks down at the floor. 'Father Leons guessed that you
might be.... I have to go.' With that, the somewhat humbled cleric
leaves the room.
You can't help but to feel unwelcome here. Your guess is that
Father Leons wanted to get rid of you as soon as he could, and
indicated this by being 'helpful' and getting your supplies ready.
The clerics' opinions of your exploits have changed over time, it
seems.
You start walking through your room, familiarizing yourself with the
layout. There isn't much here, though, and you're tired as it is after
your journey. After a few moments of inspecting your temporary
room, you climb into the rather large bed and fall asleep.
The Next morning....
