Ivory Monolith

   You awake to find youself alone in the conference room. You get up slowly, wondering where Shila is, or what might have happened to her. After retrieving your sword and sheathing it at your side, you leave the room, carefully treading down the stairs. Reemerging into the entranceway that awed you so much upon your arrival, you still see nobody. You do notice, however, that all of the decorations in the room allow plenty of places for someone to hide.
   'Oh, you're awake.' Shila remarks as she enters the room from the outdoors, startling you. Shila gives you a strange look. 'My, aren't you a little jumpy? I'd never make it as a soldier, I don't think that I can be as paranoid as you are.'
   'Thanks Shila.' you say. 'Have you seen Dana?'
   Shila shakes her head. 'Nope. I found two new backpacks int the basement, loaded with all sorts of supplies. It'll be more than enough to take us through the High Barrier. Dana left a note, wishing us luck.'
   'Well, that's good.' You say.
   'No, not really.' Shila corrects you. 'If she would have really wanted us to succeed, she would have given us her blessing. Leaving us a note is almost an insult.' Shila's tone tells you that she is not terribly pleased with this, and blames you. 'Come on, let's get going.'
